The NT Sustainable Business (NTSB) Working Group has been established to:
Explore the areas of opportunity for the NT economy which can offer value generation for ESG outcomes, including but not limited to:
- Circular economy
- Sustainability initiatives
- Contaminants and hazardous waste management, including PFAS and Defence waste
- Increasing agriculture
- Nature repair market
- Carbon credits
Support, advocate and improve opportunities available to NT businesses to participate in supply chains, engage with and implement ESG propositions for value creation.
Objectives
- Identify the current state of areas of opportunity for the NT economy which can offer value generation for ESG outcomes.
- Identify and engage with key stakeholders and industry players to explore and advocate for ESG related opportunities for businesses in the NT.
- Develop recommendations for the NT Government to support the development of local areas of opportunity for the NT economy which can offer value generation for ESG outcomes.
- Explore potential partnerships and collaborations with interstate and international businesses to develop areas of opportunity for the NT economy which can offer value generation for ESG outcomes in the NT.
- Provide a platform for knowledge sharing and networking opportunities for businesses in the NT interested in the circular economy, sustainability initiatives, hazardous waste management, increasing agriculture, nature repair markets, carbon credits and other opportunities which can offer value generation for ESG outcomes.
